The Order of the 7th Ring is a small but growing gaming clan that has its origins go back October of 2002. We began as small clan made up of friends from central Texas but have grown to encompass members from all over the U.S. and Canada. Our group began as the clan Havoc Platoon. After many years of playing we merged with the Clan [nRs] for a short while. After some great times playing with the guys there a small group of guys stepped out together and to begin The Order of the 7th Ring.

For most of our history we have primarily been a Battlefield Series Clan. We began with Battlefield 1942 and Desert Combat and moved onto Battlefield Vietnam when it was released. After that, the mod Point of Existence was released for BFV and the 7th took to it quickly. Battlefield 2 was released by EA and as we had done in the past the clan moved on the newest edition of the series. In 2006, Battlefield 2142 was released and was added to our past playing routine. In more recent times we have been playing together on Call of Duty 4 and again on Battlefield 2. Many members also enjoy games such as Counter Strike, Left 4 Dead, and various RTS games such as Company of Heroes.

Most of our members play mainly in the eve after work or school. We attempt to have one clan night of gaming per week, typically on Thursday nights, so that we can get togeter and game as a group. We are currently retired from competitive play and just enjoy kicking back and gaming for fun with the group as a means of entertainment.

The 7th Ring is a team-oriented clan. We play as a team and care more about winning the maps than being the top player of the map. We are concerned more about how you play as a team member (ie. capturing pawns, defending bases, giving others an opportunity in the choppers, and working together as one unit) than how many kills you have. We play as an organized unit, with the ranking members and squad leaders coordinating attacks and defenses.

The 7th is not your typical gaming clan. We know the purpose gaming is for entertainment purposes. We do our best to keep that at the center of everything we do. Our members, although spread across the continent, have become good friends. We view ourselves as more of a gaming community/brotherhood than as a strict clan. Anyone can join us as long as they can demonstrate great team play, decent Battlefield skills, gets along with other members, and can uphold the rules and regulations set forth on this website. Being a member gives you a home on the web and the benefit of team play with your clan members.
